With Christmas and New Year just around the corner many people are going to be drinking probably just a little too much and waking up with a hangover. One of the biggest questions this year will be what is the best hangover cure. Well I am afraid I am not the best person to ask and have tried several different types of hangover cures with different degrees of success
I remember the first time I came home with a hangover was when I was still at home with the parents. My mum made me this headache cures to get rid of my hangover which involved dipping a banana in honey to cure my hangover. Whilst it tasted delicious it did absolutely nothing to cure my hangover. I have also heard that after a night on the town that peanut butter is the miracle hangover cure as it coats your stomach and stops that churning feeling
I have found that drinking lots of water before you go to bed works as it rehydrates the body, however, as you can imagine you end up going to the loo every 20 minutes but you do not wake up with a hangover .
I could keep going on how you could not get over a hangover, but I will cut you some slack and go ahead and tell you how I have figure out how to get rid of a hangover. There are actually a few ways that I have found out that work the best.
Another great hangover cure I have found to work is have a bacon sandwich when you wake up with lots of water.
I hope this helps you get rid of something that I wish that beer wouldn’t do to us, a hangover.
Prevention is the best hangover cure around
Yes, if you can prevent a hangover then this is better than trying to cure it. The best prevention is simply don’t drink …. it’s bad for you. But as i am sure you will then why not try drinking a pint of milk before you go out as the fatty milk will slow the absorption of alcohol down.
Another way to help prevent a hangover is to eat a big meal before you go out and on this occasions a fatty meal is beneficial – as fat is digested slowly, and will protect the stomach from the irritating effects of alcohol.
